About the Role:

We are representing a leading advisory firm with an established history and strong presence across the region.

Their specialist Restructuring, Turnaround, and Insolvency team is dedicated to handling complex engagements with companies facing under‑performance, financial distress, or outright crisis.

This strategic role will place you at the forefront of major restructuring and insolvency engagements, working alongside top‑tier specialists on some of New Zealand’s largest and most significant advisory mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead restructuring, turnaround and insolvency assignments, including formal appointments.

  • Partner with distressed organisations to deliver commercial, strategic, and financial advice.

  • Conduct independent business reviews and build integrated financial forecast models.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across transactions and forensic services.

  • Mentor junior team members while managing client relationships and project timelines.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • 4 years’ experience in restructuring, transactions, or forensic advisory within a professional services firm.

  • CA/CPA/CFA qualified with proven leadership and project management abilities.

  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills; Excel expertise is essential.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience advising diverse client portfolios.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Exposure to receivership, voluntary administration and liquidation processes.

  • Collaborative and proactive mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.
