Regulatory Support Officer – Auckland Council

We are seeking a full‑time, permanent Regulatory Support Officer to join the Building Consent team at our central Auckland Hub.

The role reports directly to the Team Leader and is based in Auckland CBD with flexible hybrid working options.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end‑to‑end support for all consenting applications in the department for Building Consents.

  • Deliver high quality customer excellence to internal and external customers.

  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of regulatory consent data.

  • Handle all customer inquiries and complaints related to financial disputes, invoicing, and regulatory applications, ensuring satisfactory outcomes.

  • Work on refunds and account reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication.

  • Minimum 4 years of previous experience in a business administration and customer service role.

  • Confidence with complex databases and information.

  • Experience managing financial account reconciliations & customer disputes.

  • Prior experience in building consenting or code compliance certificate applications in SAP is an advantage.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Understanding of building legislation is desirable; SAP experience is a plus.

Appointment Details

Salary range $60,216–$62,000 (based on skills and experience).

Our employer Kiwisaver contribution is additional to base salary offered.
