* Tairawhiti - Gisborne, Permanent Full time 1 FTE 80 hours per fortnight * You'll develop strong relationships with doctors, hospital administrators, and medical staffing teams * This can open doors to career growth and new opportunities in recruitment or healthcare management

Whilst Health New Zealand is undergoing change, affected employees will be given preference and priority for this position About the RoleAs a Resident Medical Officer Recruiter, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process for RMOs, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, handling compliance and credentialing, and negotiating contracts.

Youll also support onboarding and pastoral care for RMOs and Trainee Interns, coordinate orientation logistics, and contribute to communications and events that promote Gisborne Hospital and Tairāwhiti as a destination for medical training.

This role also involves maintaining documentation, ensuring privacy compliance, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in recruitment and administrative systems.

About the Team/Service/ LocationThe recruitment team operates as a dedicated team of medical professionals, coordinators, and administrative staff who work collaboratively to ensure efficient scheduling, compliance, and support for Resident Medical Officers, enabling seamless healthcare delivery within the hospital.

You should have advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Knowledge in project management and data analysis will be a bonus.

Previous experience in similar roles is desirable.

* Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.

* Proven customer service skills.

* Experience with Medical Council of New Zealand policies or processes is highly desirable but not essential.

* Significant previous experience managing recruiting processes in a large organisation or relevant recruitment agency experience.
