Overview
Reception/Office Administrator
We are looking for a strongly customer focused Office Administrator who can provide a professional and warm welcome as the first point of contact on reception to all visitors to the Diocesan office.
The busy Diocesan Office is the central location for the extensive Auckland Anglican diocese and the venue for many meetings and visitors on a daily basis.
This newly created role will report to the Diocesan Manager and is a pivotal, front line role which is multi faceted as it is also responsible for providing administrative support in a number of key areas to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Diocesan office.
Responsibilities
Internal and external communications
Operations support which includes general office administration and housekeeping
Events and hospitality
Record keeping and database administration
Health and safety
Front-line reception duties, greeting visitors and ensuring they are well looked after
What you will bring
A genuine ability to juggle fast changing priorities calmly to support everyone's wellbeing in a high profile role
True team player, solutions focused, and clear communicator with the ability to engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
A keen eye for detail, well developed organisation and planning skills, and a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement
Minimum five years' successful experience in a customer facing administrative role
Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office and a typing speed of 50 wpm
Experience of working in a not-for-profit environment would be an advantage
Work patterns
There will be an ad hoc requirement to work at weekends or in the evenings when events take place; time will be given in lieu to compensate for this.
