As a small, independent clinic, we pride ourselves on delivering friendly, personalised eye care to our community.
We're now looking for a warm, organised, and proactive Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis.If you enjoy interacting with people, thrive in a customer-facing role, and want to be part of a supportive, community-focused environment—this could be the role for you.About the RoleAs the first point of contact for our patients, you'll be a key part of our team, providing outstanding service and support both over the phone and in person.
You'll help keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly and ensure our patients feel welcome and cared for.Key ResponsibilitiesGreeting patients and creating a friendly, professional first impressionBooking, rescheduling and confirming appointmentsManaging phone and email enquiriesProcessing payments and handling EFTPOSMaintaining patient records and data entrySupporting the optometrist with dispensing and administrative tasksCoordinating deliveries and stock (e.g., contact lenses, frames)General housekeeping to maintain a clean and tidy reception and waiting areaAbout YouWe're looking for someone with:Previous experience in a customer service or front-desk role (essential)Experience in an optical, medical or health setting (advantageous)A friendly and professional manner, with great people skillsExcellent time management and organisational abilitiesConfidence using computers and appointment booking systemsA positive attitude and willingness to be part of a small teamHoursThis is a part-time position, 16 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday), with flexibility to cover occasional sick or annual leave when needed.Why Work with Us in Waikanae?
