Our client is a well-established and respected manufacturer of pharmaceutical products for the global market.
Based in Hamilton since their inception, this long-standing company has continued to expand their facilities to cope with demand for their products.
With a dedicated R&D and manufacturing teams, the company continues to develop and formulate novel pharmaceutical products for the animal health sector.
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking candidates for 2 roles who will work in conjunction with one another and provide support to our client’s R&D team as they transition new technologies and commercial products through into their manufacturing plant.
This particular role reports to the Chief Scientific Officer, and focuses on the process development of polymer-drug composites and tech transfer into plastic molding and extrusion manufacturing processes.
As part of the R&D team your focus will be to establish manufacturing processes, translate new processes from lab-scale to pilot scale, GMP production to support clinical trials and scale-up for commercial supply.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is based in Hamilton and is not suitable for remote/hybrid applicants.
You, the candidate:
In a position where research and innovation meets commercial scale up and introduction into a cGMP manufacturing facility, this role will not suit a pure academic.
Instead, we are seeking candidates with a blend of relevant tertiary qualifications in materials, process or chemical engineering, with some industrial manufacturing support experience.
More specifically, we need someone with experience in robust scale up of lab scale materials development, through pilot stages and into introduction, validation and handover to production.
As such, your interpersonal skills, influencing and time management skills will be as important as your technical ability.
