The Opportunity:
On their behalf, we are seeking the services of a Quality Manager, to join their South Auckland based team.
We are looking for a leader, who will take responsibility for leading food safety and quality processes to ensure that the company's quality standards are always met.
We are keen on a hands-on, visible leader, who will build a high performing quality culture, encouraging high standard and accountability across the site.
The Role:
Plans & direct day-to-day activities of the team, to ensure quality objectives are met. Implements quality plan, providing the team with a clear sense of direction and focus. Coaches and guides the team, providing opportunities to upskill. Identifies skill gaps or potential performance issues and addresses these. Drives quality improvements across the site.
Implements controls to ensure food safety and quality standards in terms of GMP and HACCP are met. Provide production staff are trained in quality control processes and these are managed and monitored.
If there are quality breaches, investigate causes, put corrective actions in place to avoid reoccurrence. Ensures practices are aligned to achieve quality objectives.
Prepare and manage quality audits. Ensures the company complies with quality and HACCP standards. Prepares management reporting, including analysis of quality performance.
About You:
Leadership experience, ( Min 5 years), with proven experience in training and developing successful quality teams. Experience from a food / beverage, manufacturing environment preferred.
Focused on developing knowledgeable team and a culture of accountability. Knowledge of GMP, GLP, HACCP and WHS practices is essential. Strong communication skills.
Ability to influence and engage with key stakeholders at all levels.
A strategic thinker, with a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to analyse information and identify areas that need attention.
Has experience in developing and implementing new processes. Problem solving abilities, good organisational and prioritisation skills.
Always follows-up. Excellent facilitation, project management and negotiation skills Well-developed MS Office skills.
Experience using SAP is preferred. The Rewards:
