Are you a promotional powerhouse with a passion for radio and music?
The Sound is looking for an organised, energetic, and strategic specialist to bring our brand and client campaigns to life!
About The Role
This is a critical role within The Sound content team in Auckland, reporting directly to the Content Director.
You'll be the driving force behind activating our station and client promotions across on-air, online, social media, and physical events.
You'll work closely with the Content Director to develop and implement a clear promotional strategy that will not only grow our listenership but also generate significant revenue.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to influence a well-loved music brand and collaborate with a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Your core duties will include:
Strategy & Planning:
Working with the Content Director to develop and maintain an up-to-date calendar of all major promotions, events, sponsorships, and partnerships across all platforms.
Execution Excellence:
Managing and executing national on-air station promotions, sponsorships, and integration campaigns from start to finish.
This includes creating promotional trailers, liners, web/social content, briefing staff, managing T's & C's, and providing post-campaign analysis.
Sales Integration:
Collaborating with the integration team, contributing to brainstorms, and helping to create sales opportunities for local and national markets.
You'll also assist the on-air team by helping to source client assistance for show content ideas.
Brand Guardian:
Ensuring all promotional activity enhances and protects The Sound brand, assisting Marketing with logo usage, and managing the distribution of station collateral (clothing, stickers, banners, etc.).
Administration & Compliance:
Maintaining Audata and Contesting Sheets, ensuring timely prize distribution, monitoring promotional budgets, and assisting with award entries.
Who We're Looking For
You're a highly organised self-starter with a
can-do attitude
who thrives under pressure.
You're a great communicator and relationship builder who is committed to providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Prior 2-3 years of experience in an
Agency, Sales, Marketing, or Promotions coordinator
role.
Exceptional
organisational skills
and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Great interpersonal and customer service skills
with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
Reliable, responsible, and possesses a
strong work ethic
.
Hold a
full and clean New Zealand Driver Licence
.
Familiarity with the requirements of the Broadcasting Act and laws relating to libel/defamation.
Experience with
Google Suite
applications.
An outgoing, energetic, and trustworthy personality who is comfortable meeting with clients.
