OverviewPermanent position for an experienced Project Manager, with experience in water main and fire main construction works, to join a well-established civil main contractor in South/East Auckland.
With history spanning over 20 years, their team has extensive experience in road rehabilitation, water main and fire main installation, and reinstatement work.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage multiple projects concurrently (at least 4 at any one time: two operational and two in planning).
Understand traffic management, Auckland Transport (AT) requirements, and operate in MyWorksites.Understand contracts, in particular NZS ****.Have good knowledge of watermain fittings and pipe installation.Understand Watercare Engineering and material standards.Communicate effectively with engineers and understand client requirements.Strong planning and programme background; able to manage multiple projects with a team of 5 other PMs.Experience with existing asset renewals.Essential: Knowledge of Watercare/Auckland Transport rules and standards.Be culturally diverse, with empathy and respect for different cultures; maintain a positive, collaborative work environment.Ability to motivate and drive staff, and oversee up to 15 staff + subcontractors.QualificationsExperience within the NZ industry is recommended.Hands-on experience and working knowledge of NZS ****.Strong communication skills with engineers and clients.Benefits & SalarySalary commensurate with experience.Bonuses, progression, and other incentives.Company vehicle.NotesNote: Only those holding residency or citizenship will be considered.Only those applications shortlisted will be contacted.
