This role works collaboratively with services, other improvement specialists and across programmes of work to deliver discrete projects with a focus on improving services and outcomes for mokopuna, tamariki and whānau.
This role will deliver projects, service reviews and improvement initiatives that improve clinical and operational service delivery and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and Ōritetanga (equity).
This includes the mitigation of existing bias and the promotion of Māori health equity.**About the Team and Location**Starships Clinical Projects, Pathways and Outcomes Programme team carry out important work to improve healthcare for ill and injured tamariki across Aotearoa New Zealand.
For Starships Clinical Projects, Pathways and Outcomes team, the focus is to make sure our tamariki get equitable, world-class care and the best possible health outcomes no matter their ethnicity, location or circumstances.The role is based in Grafton, Auckland.**About you****To be successful you will have:*** A recognised project management qualification **or** 2+ years of proven project management or operational experience in healthcare (hospital services experience is an advantage).* Demonstrated ability to apply Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in practice, with a commitment to improving Māori health outcomes and advancing equity.* A genuine passion for improving health outcomes for tamariki, mokopuna and their whānau.* Experience leading change and improvement initiatives, ideally within the healthcare sector.* Skills in programme and project delivery including planning, business case development, design, risk management, benefit realisation, communication, reporting and evaluation.* Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and services.* Clinical qualifications or experience are not required but would be welcomed.
