Job description

Join Wellington Water and spearhead a critical initiative to safeguard our region's drinking water and commitment to the community and environmental stewardship.

In this role you will project manage the team that develops and implements the regional backflow management plan, ensuring compliance with Taumata Arowai standards and protecting public health.
What you'll do:
* work with a team to develop and execute a comprehensive backflow prevention strategy
* collaborate with internal teams, client councils, and external stakeholders
* create educational materials and standard operating procedures
* develop methods to manage data capturing and analysis for compliance tracking
* ensure adherence to health and safety requirements.
We're looking for the following:
* Minimum of five years' experience in infrastructure, utility, or project management
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies
* Knowledge of potable water networks and ideally, backflow prevention
* Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
* Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Our job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed.
