Permanent Full Time

The core purpose of this role is to Lead the delivery of Council's Roading Projects portfolio activities.

You will ensure Council's roading projects are efficiently and cost-effectively designed and delivered in accordance with legislative requirements and that Council's strategic objectives and levels of service developed in consultation with the community.

As a leader, you will grow your team members, supporting ongoing development.

About you

The preferred candidate will have:

  • NZDE (Civil), NZCE NZ dip (Highways / Civil) qualification or relevant tertiary level engineering qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience with project and contract management, building positive, productive relationships with suppliers and the community
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in the leadership context
  • Experience working in Local Government or a Project Management Office
  • A growth mindset for yourself and others' potential
  • You are someone who loves delivering benefits to their community, working with a wide array of people to achieve common goals.
