We specialise in large structural projects such including Bridges, Pump stations and Treatment plants.

This growth provides exciting career development and progression opportunities.We have an exciting bridge project on the horizon and are looking for a Project Engineer to join our growing Civil Projects team based in Gisborne, servicing the Hawkes Bay/East Coast to deliver the good work we are known for.
This project will be technically challenging as it based in a remote area and the bridge is bespoke, so there is a lot of opportunity for the right person.In addition to the above you will:Lead the project team in the successful execution and delivery of the projectBe accountable for the day to day running of the project site and progress of worksEnsure documentation required for project records and administration is completed accurately and within required time framesPrepare correspondence/programming and cost estimatesSchedule works, procure contractor services, and provide technical expertise as neededGood Work equals Good BenefitsKiwiSaver employer contributionsFuel discount cardParental leave top-up payment with additional return to work supportFamily scholarshipsOngoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunitiesGreat discounts at a wide range of retailersMedical insuranceLife insuranceAt Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.We're looking for someone with:This position requires the leadership, energy, structures construction knowledge and capability to be hands on, providing coaching and mentoring to team members on various technical elements, ensuring that work is completed to deadline and a high quality.
You will have proven experience in major civil D&C construction projects and are familiar with NZS**** and the Construction Contracts Act.
You will be well versed in using these principals to get the job completed within the timeframe, budget and claim entitlements.
You will have a strong history of successfully managing staff and subcontractors.As a Project Engineer you will have:Proven experience managing budgets and programmes.Excellent leadership qualities.Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.Financial focus towards project costs.Proven ability in subcontractor management.You will need a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Structural Engineer and have a BE, NZCE or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.Creating, Connecting and caring for the communityOur people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
