Overview

A unique opportunity exists to join the Standards New Zealand Development team as a Project Coordinator Standards Development.

The Standards New Zealand (SNZ) team is responsible for the development and maintenance of hundreds of standards that benefit New Zealand.

The team develops standards solutions in diverse subject areas such as building and construction, energy safety, health and disability, environmental management, and more.


In this role you will provide ongoing support to a team of project managers and play a key role in the successful completion of a programme of projects within a wide range of sectors across the New Zealand economy.

You will be primarily responsible for coordinating development committee meetings, taking accurate meeting minutes and creating action lists and registers, and supporting our work with international standards bodies.

You will also play an important role in Standards New Zealand's relationship management with potential funders of standards solutions, including regulators, key business and industry leaders.

All SNZ team members are expected to contribute to priorities across the wider team.

The Project Coordinator is an essential role within the development team, providing support and coordination to a number of projects at any one time.

You will have excellent coordination, prioritisation and communication skills and be comfortable working under strict timeframes to support the timely delivery of projects.

As a member of the team, you will enjoy ongoing support from both senior and principal advisors as well as senior management within our team.

In addition, you will be able to build on your relationship management and project management skills through a range of development opportunities within the wider team.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in an administrative/coordination role or similar
  • Ability to use a variety of software including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet established timeframes
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Relevant experience of delivering to clients through contracted service arrangements

Salary: $60,272 - $70,625 + KiwiSaver + Wellness Benefits

Location: Wellington based - permanent opportunity
