We use a range of communications tools and channels to provide information to our audiences which enhances and protects the University's reputation, raises its profile, and attracts quality students and external funding.The roleReporting to the Team Leader Project Communications, this role will provide expert strategic advice and deliver internal and external communications to support the University's ongoing project portfolio.
Embedded within the Project Management Office, the Project Communications Adviser will provide expert advice and support to project managers leading a variety of different project types including IT changes and University business process transformation, space optimisation and construction projects.
You will provide a relevant, proactive and customised corporate service from strategy to delivery of communications, in conjunction with a wider team of advisers working across the University.
Your work will include both internal and external channels.Your skills and experienceWe are looking for an experienced communications professional, with a passion for the planning and execution of strategic communications to support projects and who has experience in:organisational communications or public relations roles, with a focus on internal communications.crafting and producing high-quality communications for a range of messaging purposes.providing strategic advice and support to senior leaders and managers.working collaboratively with colleagues across communications functions to deliver tailored and seamless services in a variety of platforms.experience in strategic, IT and/or infrastructure project-related roles.You will be an articulate and engaging communicator, with a strong customer service orientation, able to work autonomously but also as part of a wider team.Further detailsWe are seeking to fill two full-time (37.5 hours per week), one-year fixed term positions based in Otepoti, Dunedin.
The appointment range for these roles is $80,749 to $85,649 per annum.
Top of the range is $100,776.
We offer competitive salary, 5 weeks' annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.
