About the team
Tactical Engineering and Estimation provides engineering support and expertise to the planning, investigations, and project delivery functions within our Grid Development division.
The Cost Estimation Team delivers an estimation service to support the scoping, investigation, and delivery of our grid capital projects and volumetric maintenance works.
This includes maintaining Transpower's estimation tool (TEES), supporting Tactical Engineering, and improving estimation accuracy through analysis and reporting.
About the opportunity
As Programme Manager - Project Cost Estimation, you'll lead Transpower's strategic approach to managing the core components (building blocks) of our projects.
Your focus will be on ensuring that systems, processes, and tools enable accurate scope and cost data, while guiding the prioritisation and planning of component reviews to align with the RCP cycle.
This leadership role is key to enabling efficient delivery and maximising impact across our $870m volumetric programme.
You'll oversee analysis of scope, stakeholder coordination, and change identification to enhance accuracy and maintain the integrity of cost estimation tools and datasets.
Acting as a champion of best practice, you'll provide strategic direction and procedural expertise to support the Cost Estimation team and foster continuous improvement both internally and externally.
