This is a 6-month fixed term role, ideally based out of one of our Yoobee Campuses (Auckland/Wellington/Christchurch).

For the right candidates, fully remote options from anywhere in NZ can be explored.

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Programme Leader – Design to join the Creative Industries Faculty at Yoobee Colleges.

Reporting to the Head of Faculty – Creative Industries, you’ll play a key role in supporting the strategic direction, development, and successful operation of our Design programmes.

This role combines academic leadership, programme management, and industry engagement.

You’ll work closely with faculty leaders and tutors to ensure programme quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, while keeping our curriculum relevant to the evolving design and marketing industries.

It’s an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about creative education and committed to ensuring our students graduate ready to succeed in the fast-changing world of design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Faculty in the strategic delivery and continuous improvement of Design programmes.

  • Collaborate with faculty and industry to ensure programmes reflect current and emerging design trends.

  • Contribute to programme reviews, enhancements, and new product development.

  • Assist with industry partnerships, consultation, and feedback loops for curriculum development.

  • Support compliance and accreditation processes to ensure programme quality.

  • Prepare reports on programme performance, student outcomes, and industry engagement.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching teams to ensure exceptional student learning experiences.

About You / Key Requirements

  • A degree or higher qualification in Design, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong project management and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • A proven ability to work both independently and within a team.

  • A commitment to student success and creating a positive learning environment.

Desirable

  • Experience in tertiary education, programme development, or curriculum design.

  • Familiarity with New Zealand’s tertiary education system.

  • Knowledge of programme accreditation and quality assurance processes.

  • Experience building and maintaining industry partnerships.
