About our team | Mō te tīma:

The Disability Support Services Group (DSS) has been established to ensure fairer access to disability support services in New Zealand, ensuring those with the greatest needs receive quality support services.
The DSS Taskforce has been established to take actions to stabilise and strengthen DSS to:
* provide disabled people with certain and consistent access to DSS, no matter what their circumstances or where they live in New Zealand
* prioritise funding for disabled people with the highest needs, and those who would benefit most from early intervention support,
* ensure that Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles are put into practice
* ensure that the long-term sustainability of DSS is strengthened to provide disabled people and carers with services that are both fair and affordable.


About the role | Mō te tūnga:

As the Programme Coordinator, you'll provide essential administrative and project support to the Disability Support Services Review Programme team.
This is a high-priority initiative focused on improving equity in disability support services across the country.

Key responsibilities include:
* Provide programme coordination to ensure effective management of projects and multi-faceted programmes of work
* Provide administrative support to the Programme team
* Ensure effective planning and scheduling of programme activities
* Assist with reporting to governance boards and steering committees
* Ensure effective documentation
* Offer best practice project advice and guidance
* Maintain visibility across the programme's portfolio of work
* Support delivery of critical success factors for the DSS reform programme

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:


* A strong background in a programme or project coordination role where you have used project and programme methodology to deliver.
* Experience using programme and project planning and scheduling tools.
* Excellent communication skills including excellent documentation skills.
* An understanding of the New Zealand Government sector.
* Experience of prioritising in an often busy and complex environment and applying sound judgement when dealing with competing deadlines.
* Experience in secretariat duties including paper preparation and minute taking.
* Strong working knowledge of how to use office software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint as well as MS Teams.
* Highly effective organisation and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise in a busy and complex environment.
* Strong relationship management skills – able to establish, build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
