The Role

Datacom is seeking a dynamic and experienced Dell Product Specialist BDE to join our team.

This role is pivotal in supporting our sales teams develop and maintain a competitive edge when selling Dell products to our nationwide customer base both existing and new.  You will ensure we meet market demands and deliver strong revenue performance.

As a Dell Product Specialist BDE, you’ll play a key role in shaping product features, supporting sales initiatives, and ensuring technical excellence across infrastructure and storage solutions.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable, and secure technology solutions that align with business goals.

What you will do:

The key responsibilities for the Dell Product Specialist BDE include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with sales teams to design and present infrastructure and storage solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Evaluating and recommending system enhancements to optimize client environments and reduce operational costs.
  • Supporting the development of technical sales strategies and creating solution-focused presentations and demonstrations for prospects and existing clients.
  • Ensuring all technical sales documentation and collateral are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Delivering regular technical communications and updates to customers and advisers, highlighting solution benefits and innovations.
  • Defining and documenting customer-specific technical requirements, solution deliverables, and expected outcomes for proposals and projects.
  • Providing expert guidance on infrastructure architecture, security best practices, IT operations, and performance metrics during the sales cycle.
  • Assisting with technical input for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support sales planning and pipeline management.

 What you’ll bring:

  • At least 3+ years of proven experience in server and storage sales.
  • A broad and deep understanding of technical infrastructure projects, operations and related technology dependencies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • The ability to interact and network with subordinates, supervisors and functional peer groups.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
