The Opportunity
This company innovation is leading to a newly established position of Product Development Engineer to lead the development, testing and certification of a new range of specialist glass and associated hardware products (handrails, stand-offs, shoes, etc.), to complement the glass product range.


 
Key Responsibilities


  • Design and analyse new specialist glass and railing hardware system products

  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings

  • Certify the design and undertake product testing through finite element analysis

  • Ensure product compliance with AS/NZS, ISO, and ASTM standards

  • Create compliance and technical documentation

  • Lead the development of a secure digital BIM portal for architects/designers
  • What We’re Looking For

  • An experienced Product Development Engineer with proven experience with new product design

  • Tertiary Engineering qualification (Mechanical / Structural) at Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) level

  • Proven proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Inventor, including finite element analysis

  • Experience working with compliance standards AS/NZS, ISO, and ASTM

  • Sound documentation and technical writing skills
