The Opportunity

Our Product Development world is where we reimagine our product lines and discover new ways of delighting our customers across the globe.

In this role you will join us as a Product Evaluator primarily supporting and conducting evaluation tests for our existing and new fabric care components and products.

You will bring your chemistry expertise and get immersed in researching, developing and testing new ways to evaluate our laundry products.

You’ll work within defined test procedures to accurately and systematically record, interpret, report and communicate test data, but you’ll also have suitable experience to help identify and develop new testing regimes for new product innovation.

You’ll also play a key role in conducting essential laboratory maintenance and equipment calibration functions alongside our technicians.

The role requires a scientific approach to your work, and the ability to effectively plan activities to meet the output requirements of Product Evaluation, and a proactive contribution to a small but high performing team.

A good degree of practical hands-on skills is required as well as an understanding of the necessity for following a highly systemised approach.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

  • Qualified chemist with practical experience in new product development in FMCG.

  • Demonstrates a passion for product development and product performance, and strong problem solving.

  • Knowledge of surfactant chemistry and ability to analyse and develop interactions of these products with laundry appliances.

  • High level of statistics; exemplary communication skills; ability to engage and present work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Methodical, proactive and practical, with high attention to detail; collaborative team player who takes personal accountability.
