Procurement Manager Job Opening In Wellington – Now Hiring Summerset


Job description

Summerset is growing our procurement function and we are looking for a Procurement Manager to join the team in  Wellington.  This role will be part of the Construction Business Unit, reporting to the Head of Procurement Manager.

You'll play an influential role in the procurement activities for our large-scale retirement village developments throughout New Zealand.

You'll be facilitating the planning, management and delivery of complex end to end procurement strategies and procurement plans for our new village developments, procuring consultants to provide specialist design services and seeking to add value and deliver benefit throughout the supply chain.

You'll need to bring the following;

  • Minimum 3 - 6 years' procurement experience, ideally within an engineering/construction/manufacturing environment, but not essential
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Self-motivated with the ability to influence and motivate others
  • High level of confidence, negotiation skills and top-notch relationship skills
  • Ideally a fully qualified member of MCIPS or hold a Post Graduate Qualification in a relevant discipline
