**Job Description**
**The Opportunity**
Based in our high performing national Building Structures team, this is a rare opportunity for an established structural engineer with local NZ market experience, to join an internally acclaimed, premier consulting company.
As a Principal Engineer or an Associate Director, you will focus on leading the technical delivery of our high quality, bespoke projects which require oversight of project teams and ownership of client relationships.
You will collaborate with a number of internal and external clients and will be involved in key stakeholder engagement processes, contributing to the growth of our business.
You will be a dynamic and highly driven individual who is excited about working in a team with no glass ceilings.
You will be working closely with our Team Leaders, national structural team and our global technical practice network to deliver high quality technical outputs.
Day to day responsibilities include:
+ Leading the delivery of building structures projects including management of delivery teams.
+ Driving technical development and keeping up to date with new technologies and international trends.
+ Providing technical and project leadership.
+ Mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers.
+ Fostering client relationships.
+ Leading input into tenders and bids.
**Qualifications**
**About You**
Naturally we are seeking an experienced engineer who shares our passion for technical excellence and can demonstrate credibility in the NZ building structures market.
+ Registered with Auckland Council
+ Sound knowledge of NZ building market
+ 10+ years’ structural engineering design experience
+ Solid experience working in an engineering design consultancy
+ Knowledge of NZ Building Code and Standards
+ Proven record of strong client relationship building and maintenance
+ Chartered Engineer for Medium-High Risk
