Mō te tūnga | About the role
The role sits within the Strategic Transformation team in the Commissioning and Investment Group.
This is a fixed-term programme team responsible for transforming Oranga Tamariki's commissioning and investment framework and approach.
The Principal Policy Advisor contributes to this work through the provision of high-quality specialist and analytical advice, and participates in, and leads, projects and policy initiatives within the team or across the wider Group or Ministry.
The Principal Policy Advisor also provides mentoring and supports the professional development of less experienced advisors.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to work that will bring about meaningful change for Oranga Tamariki, service providers, and the children and young people in our care.

Oranga Tamariki offer a step-based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure.
Annual remuneration for this position starts between $147,010 to $162,887 dependant on experience.
