Working closely with your team and the Ministry of Transport, you will lead and support the development of regulatory and transport policy and genuinely make a difference to Aotearoa New Zealand.
A key part of this role is to positively influence broader policy and legislation through providing expert technical advice, facilitating workshops and policy forums to support the programmes of work.

Te Rōpu Waeture, the Regulatory Services Group, is accountable for delivering regulatory activities to ensure people, vehicles, and rail and commercial organisations meet the required standards to be safe, and are able to access and use the transport system cleanly and efficiently.
Along with our other we also have new Waka Kotahi Life, Income Protection and Critical Illness Insurance scheme available for permanent employees.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
