As the **Principal Design Manager** , you will be responsible for leading large projects including consultancy and engineering design services in the Roads and Highways and Rail market in New Zealand.

Leverage your people management skills to optimise your team’s performance and consistently deliver high-quality, technical solutions for our clients.

Bring your project management experience, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced design environment and we’ll provide you with exciting and challenging opportunities to help you grow professionally.





Being in a leadership position, you will foster and grow the design delivery capability of the Roads and Highway team not only here in NZ but also our global delivery centres.

Our clients span the length of the country and overseas, and with your great networking and relationship building skill, you will be responsible for work winning, identifying the next opportunities, and supporting the win of new projects.

**Here’s What You’ll Need:**



• CPEng



• Extensive experience leading large multidisciplinary roads and highways or rail projects in New Zealand or overseas



• Ability to lead and manage teams through all phases of design planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements.



• Strong experience working with clients to solve their project issues and growing relationships for future projects



• Demonstrated leadership by providing clear direction and autonomous management of projects and technical teams with commercial aptitude and client orientated thinking



• Excellent negotiation skills with respect to all technical matters



• The ability to articulate a clear direction and have good social, networking and presentation skills.
