Join Te Tahu o te Ture – Ministry of Justice as our Principal Advisor/Analyst – Judicial Resources.
In this pivotal role, you'll provide high-quality analysis and advice to support the national rostering of District Court Judges and judicial officers, inform key decisions, and help shape the future of our justice system.
You'll work closely with senior judiciary, sector partners, and stakeholders to deliver evidence-based insights and drive continuous improvement.

Te Whare supports each of the Kaihautu (District Court's Judicial Leadership team) in their leadership and administrative responsibilities.
This includes providing advisory, strategic, operational and administrative support to the Kaihautu and supporting the overall strategic direction and priorities of the District Court.
Core Functions/responsibilitiesProvide data supported advice that assists the Chief District Court Judge ensure the orderly and efficient conduct of the court's business as required under the District Court Act ****, s 24(3).
Judicial reporting and workload modellingDevelopment and maintenance of data tools to support rostering and scheduling decision making
The national judicial resourcing team, a team of nine, manages judicial rostering of more than 200 District Court Judges and Judicial Officers across Aotearoa.
Some of our team members are based Te Whare and at other court locations around the country.
Although the team is spread throughout the country, it is a close-knit supportive unit.
Quarterly in-person team meetings allow for knowledge sharing and support the collective well-being of the team.
As part of the judicial resourcing team, you will work closely with Judges, Family Court Associates and Community Magistrates, and you will also work closely with the National Scheduling team.
