This is a pivotal role contributing to our Department's core purpose as a centre of excellence for public policy at Auckland Council.
Key responsibilities of the role include:managing a team of early career policy advisors, developing and leading a tailored learning and development programme to grow their skills and confidencedeveloping and leading the department's wider continuous improvement programme aimed at building quality policy practices and the capability of our policy staffOur kaimahi come from multiple backgrounds and disciplines including strategy, policy, research, and planning, but all share a commitment to improving the lives of Aucklanders.We deliver integrated, robust advice to decision-makers on issues such as protecting biodiversity, planning for the region's long-term infrastructure needs, and providing vibrant, safe public spaces and community services for a fast-growing and changing population.
He korero mou: About youThis role requires experience in policy, strategy, or a related discipline, and programme or project management within central/local government or complex organisations.
