Join a fast-moving space delivering new features that drive business impactWork with industry-leading platforms and cutting-edge techWork in a collaborative, supportive team with hybrid flexibility As Platform Engineer – Core Data Platforms (CDP), you be working with industry leading platforms – AWS Redshift and Databricks using your superior knowledge and high effectiveness in engineering complex system and platform implementations in the Cloud, identifying and developing automation opportunities, and applying automated build / delivery and continuous integration practices in complex environments.
You are always looking ahead to ensure your solutions fit in the bigger picture and the long-term strategy.
As Platform Engineer you have a bias to action and apply your knowledge to engineer scalable, resilient, and future-proof platforms.
This is a constantly evolving area of technology – Databricks is Suncorp’s AI platform, so there is plenty of scope to learn and grow with the role.

What You’ll Do
Drive engineering decisions and platform solutions that align with long-term strategic architecture.Ensure platforms and services are designed for resilience, scalability, and performance.Identify and lead automation and optimisation initiatives focused on cost, availability, and efficiency.Lead large-scale platform implementations from design to production, maintaining quality documentation and processes.Collaborate and share knowledge with engineers and stakeholders to foster capability, innovation, and agility. What You’ll Bring
5+ years’ experience in large enterprise environments, applying Agile and Lean practices to deliver complex solutions.5-7 years’ experience as either a Systems Engineer, Software Engineer or Platform Engineer with hands on codding experienceDeep experience working with Cloud based services (including SaaS, PaaS, IaaSIn depth experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes/OpenShift using tools such as Kustomize or Helm.Demonstrated experience of understanding security & governance challenges involved in deploying to Cloud environments.Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to drive change and foster collaboration across teams.Proven ability to consult and facilitate discussions regarding alternative approaches and to broker consensus across broad stakeholder groups What we can offer you:
