You will work closely with digital teams, agency partners, and clients to deliver scalable and impactful outcomes in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesIndustry leadership: Work at the forefront of digital innovation within a dynamic and fast-growing market.Professional growth: Leverage cutting-edge tools and platforms, including META, TikTok, The Trade Desk, DV360, and others.Collaborations: Collaborate with publishers, SSPs, and agencies to contribute to data-driven and brand-safe campaigns.Core Skills RequiredAt least 3-5 years of experience in digital advertising, with a strong focus on programmatic and paid socialAdvanced understanding of the social and programmatic ecosystem, including Ad Server, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, and ad verification toolsExpertise in planning, activating, and optimising paid social campaigns across key platforms (e.g. Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat)Experience with campaign management tools, audience segmentation, and data visualisation platformsProficiency with SaaS platforms and automation tools (e.g. Trade Desk Commerce Connector or similar)Proficiency in financial reporting, data analysis, and advanced Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to present to clients and lead calls as requiredTeam-oriented, collaborative, with a can-do attitudeExperience line managing or training others is preferableStrategic mindset with a focus on innovation and operational efficiencyAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAdept at working under pressure while maintaining high-quality outputsIn-Depth Focus AreasProduct: Execute supply-side strategies using PubMatic, Index Exchange, and Magnite; identify opportunities to improve supply path efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Develop paid social and programmatic plans aligned with client objectives and KPIs; articulate rationale for tactics and present to internal/external stakeholders.End-to-end setup of paid social and programmatic campaigns; utilise advanced features to achieve results; QA checks to ensure best practices.Monitor campaign performance and pacing; troubleshoot and optimise as needed.Produce detailed weekly/monthly performance reports; lead client calls to present results.Write performance commentary with insights and actionable recommendations; ensure consistency across the team.Conduct end-of-campaign analyses, quarterly/annual reviews, and standalone projects.Identify testing/innovation opportunities; secure client backing.Develop testing/learning agendas with line-manager; collaborate with other teams to optimise the marketing mix.Partner with product/tech teams to advance automation and scalability; stay informed on trends in NZ/Australia marketplaces.PartnersManage supply-side relationships with SSPs, ad networks, and publishers; align with campaign objectivesEducate and onboard publishers on software and best practicesCollaborate with trading desks and agency partners on SPO strategiesBuild relationships with Meta, Twitter, Snap, TikTok, Pinterest, and othersAct as social point-of-contact for clientsStay informed about media/tech developments and identify opportunities to test and innovate in the social spaceProfitabilityOversee and optimise the programmatic sales pipeline using tools like Salesforce and WrikeManage monthly financial processes, including DSP reporting and invoicingAnalyse margins and identify improvement opportunitiesEnsure compliance with agency finance processes; coordinate with junior/offshore teams to minimise finance queriesProvide financial and operational insights to inform investment strategiesPeopleLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of programmatic traders and specialistsFacilitate effective cross-team communication and collaborationSupport workload management and deadlines for junior team membersCommunicate clearly with stakeholders; lead presentations as neededEngage in internal meetings, training, and contribute to a collaborative cultureAssist with recruitment and act as an ambassador for the teamGrowth & MarketingBe a positive representative of WPP Media at industry eventsCollaborate with stakeholders to showcase excellent work from within the agencyShare relevant and insightful commentary internallyWe are looking for two roles, one permanent and one FTC, which you could be considered for.Please read our Privacy Notice for information on how we process your data.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionResearch, Analyst, and Information TechnologyIndustries: Advertising ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at WPP Media.
