Overview
Be the most important person in the company in this pivotal role where you'll ensure all our people get paid accurately and on time
New Zealand Panels Group is a leading manufacturer and distributor of decorative interior panel products used by the joinery industry.
We also supply high pressure laminates and engineered stone/porcelain benchtops along with a range of substrates.
Specified by New Zealand's top architects and designers, our products can be found in NZ's homes and commercial buildings.
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team and take on this pivotal role where you'll be tasked with ensuring all our people (280+) are paid accurately and on time.
Guided by the leadership of the Group People & Culture Manager, and working closely with our Senior People Advisor, People Administrator and our finance team, you'll be a key member of the HR and finance function.
This role is part time permanent, 21 hours per week, 3 days per week, 7 hours per day, based at our support office site in East Tamaki.
Due to moving payroll deadlines you'll need to have some flexibility around the days of the week you will work, as they may change at times.
Responsibilities
Administration and coordination of timesheets
Entering new starters into the system and removing exiting employees
Processing waged fortnightly payruns and monthly salaried payruns
Liaising weekly with our payroll provider and processor (Datacom/Datapay)
Running reports and ensuring leave is entered into the system
Manual pays when required
Answering manager and employee payroll queries
Being a collaborative and constructive member of the HR team
Qualifications and attributes
2+ years of prior payroll experience
Customer focused, accurate with strong attention to detail
Self-starter, reliable, highly organized, and flexible
Experience with Datacom/Datapay is advantageous
