Part Time Payroll & Accounts Payable Officer

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are working with a well-established, family-owned business based in Newmarket and are seeking a part-time payroll officer to join the team on a 6-month contract.



Our client is currently going through a system implementation to help modernise processes and streamline accounting processes.

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic, with experience processing fortnightly payroll, for permanent and contract employees.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll 
  • Maintaining payroll records and responding to employee queries
  • Managing leave requests and entitlements
  • Keeping up to date with changes to payroll legislation and regulations
  • Assisting with processing accounts payable and receivables.
  • To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • At least 3 years of payroll experience, with a strong understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation
  • Experience working with payroll systems, preferably MYOB payroll and Xero
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with team members and key stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards your work
