Mitre10 MEGA Nelson is a dynamic and trusted business with a vision to provide quality products, value and expertise to all customers.This is a key leadership role within our store, requiring a quick-thinking, capable person to lead the Paint department.
The successful applicant will lead a team of 7, handling all aspects of the team from customer service standards to ensuring customers' needs and queries are met, as well as handling stock matters and day-to-day situations.
The person we seek must be able to remain cool under pressure and think on their feet.ResponsibilitiesLead the Paint department team of 7 people, ensuring high standards of customer service and meeting customer needs and queries.Manage stock matters and handle day-to-day situations as they arise.Maintain composure under pressure and make timely, effective decisions.QualificationsA passion for providing excellent customer service every time.Detail-minded self-starter.Strong mathematical skills.Ability to multi-task and follow through to completion in a timely manner.Experience in conflict resolution and confidence to make decisions as required.Proven leadership and supervisory experience.Computer savvy.Physical fitness for standing for 8 hours and lifting stock.Additional InformationExperience in a similar role and/or retail environment is beneficial.
Reporting to the Retail Manager, this is a full-time role including one day per weekend.
