Acting in a sole-charge environment, the Ops Centre Supervisor is responsible for ensuring Contact’s Generation assets are offered, dispatched, monitored, and scheduled to optimise fuel resources, maintain compliance, maximise revenue opportunities and minimise risk in real-time.

As an Operations Centre Supervisor, you’ll be the steady hand ensuring Contact’s generation assets are offered, dispatched, monitored, and scheduled for optimal performance.
You’ll use real-time systems to keep everything running safely and efficiently, adapting to changing conditions and making decisions that maximise value and minimise risk.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Tauranga.
Our team operates in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Electricity generation never sleeps; our Hydro assets operate 24/7 so this role requires shift work on a rotational roster basis, working 12-hour shifts (usually 7am-7pm) as part of a 24/7, 365 days a year roster.
We are keen to hear from individuals with diverse backgrounds.
Historically, successful applicants have possessed experience in hydrology, financial trading, banking, oil & gas, mechanical engineering, electrical trade certification, NZ Navy or Airforce, and even physics. Training and development opportunities will be provided, but you need to be prepared to work hard and get up to speed quickly.
