## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role* **Gisborne Hospital*** **Full time*** **Fixed Term** Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.* **About the Role*** **This is a inpatient and community position with the option to rotate.

You will be working with people of all ages with physical disabilities and long-term illness to participate in their daily occupations.*** **We pride ourselves on providing a friendly, welcoming, and incredibly supportive atmosphere.

We have a strong commitment to regular supervision (formal and informal), peer supervision and professional development with a variety of training opportunities to facilitate your learning needs.*** **We are patient-focused, utilise the Canadian Model of Occupational Performance and Engagement to drive our process, and measures our patient outcomes.

We use an evidenced based approach in our assessments and interventions and we are quality driven.

We work in an inter-disciplinary environment promoting independence, health and well-being for the people of our community.*** **We are looking for someone (ideally) with experience but will also consider a new graduate.

The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn about wheelchair and seating assessments, pressure care intervention, cognitive assessments, rehabilitation, orthopedic and housing modification assessments.
