Network Engineer – L2
Location: Auckland, NZ
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (mix of in-office and remote)

Are you a skilled Network Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, mentoring others, and delivering outstanding customer outcomes?
I'm working with a well-established company that’s looking for a Level 2 Network Engineer with solid experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.

You'll be joining a collaborative, purpose-driven team that plays a critical role in supporting New Zealand’s network infrastructure through innovative connectivity and digital services.
As a key member of the technical operations team, you'll act as the senior escalation point for technical issues, lead fault resolution efforts, and drive service improvement and knowledge sharing.

Your expertise will directly enhance customer satisfaction and support the successful rollout of new technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take the lead on resolving technically challenging customer support issues (approximately 80% of your time).

  • Contribute to project-based work, including new technology deployments and incident remediation (approximately 20%).

  • Act as a technical SME for internal Level 1 support teams and external ICT providers.

  • Mentor and train support staff and partners, enabling them to resolve issues independently.

  • Support the transition of new services and help refine support processes and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical support or network operations role.

  • Strong working knowledge of switching, routing, and firewalls.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Fortinet networking equipment.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable solutions.

  • Familiarity with Google products and services.

  • Passion for continuous improvement and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

  • Desirable: CCNP or Fortinet NSE 5 certification.
