Our Business Services team is here to make sure that Data and Digital thrive like a well-oiled machine.

We're the ones who help set the course, gather resources, and make sure things run smoothly - think of us as the ultimate planners and communicators, making sure everyone is on the same page!

We're like the superhero support squad for Data and Digital.

From keeping everyone in the loop through top-notch communication (we're buddies with the Communication and Engagement team) to making sure the right people are in the right places (our friends in People and Culture are our partners here), we've got it all covered.

We've got a handle on best practices, training, and making sure everyone's got the right skills.

Plus, we're the guardians of risk management and privacy – keeping things safe and sound in the world of Data and Digital is our specialty.

Mōu | About you

As our National Business Manager, you will be the driving force behind ensuring our Data & Digital function runs like a well-oiled machine.

As the heart of our operations, you'll wear many hats.

Imagine overseeing the national business administration function – a diverse mix of EAs, PAs, and administration staff.

You'll be the wizard behind the scenes, orchestrating activities that empower our Data and Digital business unit to flourish.

But that's not all – you'll also be a transformation champion.

Picture yourself leading the charge towards innovative ways of working, while seamlessly transitioning us to new national structures.

Your expertise in business management and partnership building will be invaluable as you collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will be at the helm of a diverse team spread across various D&D sites.

Your knack for managing distributed teams will shine as you ensure everyone's on the same page and working harmoniously.

Speaking of support, you'll be the go-to person for our D&D Senior Leadership Team, regional teams, and functions.

From keeping diaries organised to assisting with presentations, your knack for details will make a world of difference.

You'll even dabble in event management and the nitty-gritty of business continuity plans.

Budgets, FTE management, compliance – you'll navigate these waters with finesse, ensuring resources are where they're needed most.

And those pesky KPIs?

You'll monitor them like a pro, always ready to tweak and optimise for peak performance.

Preference will be given to applications of significantly affected Kaimahi through the change process.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Minimum 10 years in senior business support or office management roles, preferably for a large national organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of public sector and business processes, operational frameworks, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with organisational goals and industry best practices
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders (incl.

    managing teams of specialists, management of remote/hybrid/virtual teams).
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

    Proficiency in data analysis tools, reporting software, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (advanced written and verbal communications, experience writing reports for Executive and Board audiences)
