About the role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated sales professional to deliver profitable and sustainable growth across our platform of brands in the Grocery channel.

They will be responsible for driving the commercial relationship with our Grocery channel key accounts, all with massive growth potential.

We require a strategic thinker, skilled in negotiation, who can deliver outstanding client service and fact- based sales solutions to our major retail grocery partners.

This role will work alongside a dynamic team of brand managers and sales professionals, along with our supply team, to align our strategic plans with those of our customers.

This is a mid-senior level strategic role within our business, and the successful candidate will be a central player in our ambition to be positioned as a market leading Health Care provider in the New Zealand market.

About you

You will be an experienced FMCG sales professional who is smart, commercial, skilled in negotiation, forward thinking, analytically strong, have well-honed account planning skills and be experienced in driving successful sales outcomes using fact-based sales solutions, that are aligned to the Customer plan.

  • You will have excellent relationship building, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Be highly analytical and have a proven ability to analyse and interpret sales data
  • Commercially savvy with a good understanding of the key drivers of the P&L
  • Resilient and driven sales professional with high EQ, and proven ability to work collaboratively and successfully within a cross functional team environment
  • 5+ years FMCG Grocery channel experience, preferably with a strong understanding of the Foodstuffs business model
  • Degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a customer facing role
  • Confident with FMCG related software (IRI, Quantium), TPM & CRM tools
