HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • Champion NZME’s newsroom mission and ethics while collaborating across publishing and production teams.
  • Attend planning meetings to identify multimedia opportunities and direct content creation.
  • Guide and coach journalists and producers to craft compelling visually-led stories.
  • React swiftly to breaking news, ensuring fast, accurate, and visually engaging coverage.
  • Help to elevate content produced by Herald NOW.
  • Manage collaboration with other newsrooms such as pool coverage.
  • Manage visuals budgets, copyright compliance, and contributor content.
  • Use analytics and audience insights to shape content strategy and delivery.
