Mental Health & Addictions Peer Support WorkerWe are currently looking for Casual Mental Health and Addictions Peer Support Workers to join our services - Kotuku Crisis Respite, Compass at ED and Nikau Hauora Hub.
No set shifts, hours of work vary depending on the service.Kotuku Crisis Respite operates 24/7 (2 day shifts and an overnight shift)ED team operates 2.30pm-*****pm Wednesday to SundayNikau Hauora Hub 8.30am-4.00pm Monday to FridayHealth Action Trust is a dynamic and innovative community organisation specialising in community health promotion initiatives and professional mental health and addiction peer led services.
People applying must have a personal lived experience of mental illness or distress to undertake this role.Working in the community involves working with minimal supervision, supporting and transporting people in the community, and home visits.Our teams work across: Nikau Hauora Hub, Wahi Oranga, Nelson Hospital Emergency Department, Kotuku Crisis Respite and Nelson Community Services.
