We're excited to offer opportunities for MedicalRegistrars – non-training, Basic and Advanced Training level, starting as soon as possible.

TheDepartment of Medicine offers supportive working conditions and is committed to excellent teaching.

Our department consists of ten Physicians in General Medicine with a wide variety of sub-speciality interests, as well as an outpatient cardiology team, specialist nurses, and visiting sub-specialists.

We are accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for Basic and Advanced Trainees.

Gisborne Hospital is a 110-bed acute care hospital that serves a wide geographical area extending up the East Cape of New Zealand, creating enormous scope and variety in the clinical work.

Providing healthcare to a population of 54,000, Health NZ Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti is well supported locally by comprehensive surgical services and has a full range of diagnostic facilities on site including a new MRI scanner and CT scanner.

We have strong ties with our tertiary referral centre in Waikato.

Situated on the eastern coast of New Zealand's North Island, Gisborne is the first city in the world to see the rising sun of the new day.

· Suitable for Resident Medical Officers PGY3 and above.

· Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with theMedical Council of New Zealand.

· You will need to be a NZ or Australian citizen or resident, or have an appropriate visa to be eligible to live and work in NZ.
