Solutions Engineer - Vertical Transport

Are you a highly skilled and organised Solutions Engineer with experience in vertical transport and looking for your next challenge?

We have an immediate start available for a contractor to join a great company and take the lead on critical projects.

This role is based in Auckland but will involve travel to other regions as required.

This is a hands‑on role with a 37.5‑hour work week where you will be instrumental in the delivery of modernisation projects from start to finish.

You'll be a key point of contact, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically sound, cost‑effective, and compliant with all regulations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Project Planning & Costing: You will be responsible for providing accurate costings for variations and add‑ons, collaborating with supply, installation, and maintenance teams to determine both material and service costs.

  • Technical Specifications: You'll coordinate the creation of detailed specifications and ensure the technical content of each order is accurate and complete.

  • Installation & Maintainability: You'll ensure that the proposed solution can be installed seamlessly and that it meets the customer's long‑term product lifecycle needs.

  • Compliance & Safety: You are accountable for ensuring all solutions meet local codes, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Taking over complex projects and providing solution‑related information to project managers and supervisors.

  • Creating project layouts and coordinating the work of all engineers and specialists involved.

  • Identifying and proposing sales opportunities for change orders.

  • Handling the most demanding modernisation projects.

You are a proactive and detail‑oriented engineer with a strong understanding of project delivery and a knack for problem‑solving.
