Marketing Executive – Consumer Wealth

Mercer is seeking candidates for the position of Marketing Executive.

This role will be based in either our Auckland or Wellington office.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role will have a primary focus on working with marketing and communications team members to deliver on consumer marketing campaigns and regular customer communications, as well as coordinate events to grow FUM and retain membership.

We will count on you to:

  • Manage and track multiple marketing and communication projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.

  • Coordinate and support consumer marketing campaigns for KiwiSaver, Mercer Super Trust, Mercer FlexiSaver, and NZDF Savings Schemes.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners including design studios, print providers, and clients to implement effective communication projects.

  • Utilise project management tools to monitor workflow, costs, and scope variations, adapting plans as needed.

  • Assist with writing, editing, and peer reviewing marketing content across various media channels.

  • What you need to have:

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Media, Business, or a related field.

  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate marketing or communications, preferably with project coordination responsibilities.

  • Proven writing skills and experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar campaign management platforms.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, paying close attention to detail.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • What makes you stand out:

  • Experience or knowledge of the financial services sector, particularly KiwiSaver or superannuation.

  • Familiarity with design, print, and online publishing processes.

  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment, respecting different working styles.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across all business levels.

  • Basic finance, KiwiSaver or investments writing experience.
