The role is also expected to provide technical business advice to senior decision-makers.Your expertise will be drawn upon by different parts of the National Public Health Service including the senior leadership team, so you will be someone that can work at pace and collaboratively with senior leaders.About the Team/Service/ LocationThe National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.

You will bring strong commercial and business nous.
You have excellent analytical skills combined with an ability to quickly assimilate technical information from multiple sources under time pressures.Extensive leadership and management experience, ideally in the health systemMinimum 15 years technical experience, and 5 years management experienceExtensive experience in procurement, purchasing and contracting, including in providing advice and analysis in a health context to senior leadersService planning and funding experience in the health systemA relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience (e.g. Law, Finance, or Business)Extensive experience in an advisory role, applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to develop options and provide advice to senior leadersWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
