About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This newly created leadership role will support the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team by providing strategic planning, performance reporting, and governance support.

You’ll lead the development of insights and impact reporting, contribute to policy and project development, and ensure our organisation has the data it needs to make informed decisions.

You’ll also manage board reporting cycles and support the CE with high-quality briefings, reports and strategic advice.

    To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business, statistics, data science or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in insights, impact, strategic engagement or similar.
  • Understanding of the NGO and government sectors in Aotearoa, and the ability to navigate policy and political complexity.
  • Knowledge of child protection, care systems, and the relevant legal framework within Aotearoa.
  • Proven experience supporting executive leadership or governance bodies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting data to generate actionable insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work with tangata whenua in a way that upholds our organisational commitments and obligations to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

    We are a non-profit tangata Tiriti organisation which specialises in providing therapeutic services for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau who have complex behaviour and/or mental health needs.

    Our innovative approach combines Western evidence-based models with mātauranga Māori and Pasifika knowledge.

    We work in a trauma-informed way that acknowledges the impacts of colonisation for tangata whenua and indigenous peoples of Te Moana Nui a Kiwa.

    Our organisational tikanga: aroha, manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and wairuatanga help us define best practice for working with tangata whenua in Aotearoa.

    We are committed to upholding our obligations to He Whakaputanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi and strive to deliver equitable outcomes through effective and appropriate services.

    Our national office is in Tāmaki Makaurau, and we have over 150 staff and caregivers supporting young people and their whānau across Te Tai Tokerau, greater Tāmaki, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, and the lower areas of Te Ika o Māui and Te Wai Pounamu.
