The opportunity:

  • A role in our Wellington Consulting team as an Assistant Manager, Manager, or Senior Manager, will include working with public and private sector clients advising on business case development, facilitating content and process, reviewing and quality assuring business cases.
  • Day to day you will:

  • Provide strategic advice and services to clients, preferrable in Infrastructure, Government, or Health (IGH) on a range of projects and business service models.
  • Negotiate and deliver on client expectations, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and the identification of new business opportunities.
  • Lead or contribute to the development, facilitation, and quality assurance of business cases, with a focus on government investment processes and BBC methodology.
  • Apply knowledge of Machinery of Government, IGH investment delivery, and process improvement to achieve sustainable transformation.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach staff on individual engagements, supporting their professional growth and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Develop and market new products and services,
  • Actively seek and respond to client feedback to ensure ongoing service excellence.
  • What you'll bring to our team:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant advisory experience, with demonstrated expertise in the Machinery of Government and BBC processes.
  • Experience in business case development and investment delivery within the IGH sector.
  • Project management qualifications or significant experience leading complex projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Experience supervising and developing staff.
  • Demonstrated business development skills and the ability to cultivate new client opportunities, particularly in the public sector
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships within multidisciplinary teams.
  • High-level security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is highly desirable
  • Enthusiastic, pragmatic, and solutions-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering results.
