We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Christchurch regional finance team on a fixed-term contract until April **** as parental leave cover.
This role is part of the wider finance team working closely with our regional business units.
Our Christchurch regional team is at the forefront of a Fulton Hogan wide ERP upgrade programme, so if you consider yourself a champion for change and process improvement, this is a fantastic time to join our team!
In addition to the above you will:
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate monthly management accounts including month end calculations and journals.
Lead monthly profit and loss reviews and forecasting meetings.
Proactively support and train your assigned business unit managers and operational staff on management reports and business tools.
Prepare ad hoc and analytical reports as required, including reconciliations, investigations and other comparative reporting requirements.
Take an active role in preparing annual budgets and support external and internal audit processes.
Work on projects across the accounting team to improve the financial performance of the region.
Assist with training and supervision of junior team members.

We're looking for someone with:
Qualifications
5 years of management accountant experience
A relevant tertiary qualification
Experience working closely with operational managers
Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and proficient in the use of MS Office
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks
Previous exposure to construction and maintenance programs or manufacturing would be advantageous
CA/CPA designation (or working towards) preferred but not essential
