Mō te tūranga | About the role:
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintainer skilled in self-management and execution of a weekly schedule to become an integral member of a dedicated team that maintains, operates, manages and continuously improves Mercury's geothermal generation assets.
This role will offer you work / life balance with standard business hours in a permanent position.
We ensure our generation sites are well-managed with strong health and safety policies to keep you safe.
This role supports our Geothermal Power Stations around the Rotorua area, with opportunities to gain exposure in our Hydro Stations along the Waikato River.
While you may be primarily aligned with our Geothermal power stations, you'll be expected to work across both Fuel Types when needed, gaining valuable experience in a range of generation environments.
In addition to your competitive salary, you will receive a laptop and mobile phone for day-to-day use.
Overtime opportunities do come up during outages, but your day to day work is steady and predictable.
We also support carpooling within our squads making the daily commute easier and more social.
We have a strong focus on growth and progression - you'll have the opportunity to share your expertise and skills with others, and carry out routine maintenance to ensure our units consistently generate electricity to meet demand.
Work alongside passionate colleagues and be provided with all the necessary tools and equipment to excel in your role.
You'll receive regular on-the-job coaching, a personal develop plan tailored to your goals and opportunities to move within Mercury as opportunities arise.
We're also ramping up our in-house training programs, with pathways to gain additional qualifications relevant to your role.
