We are seeking applications for a suitably qualified lecturer/senior lecturer to support our Secondary Initial Teacher Education courses, offered at our City campus and online.

Applicants will hold a doctoral degree and will be research active.

Research will be of high quality to inform our educational offerings and will seek to make beneficial impacts for our education communities.

  • Confirmation of your current teacher registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council as the successful applicants will be expected to visit and assess student teachers on practicum.

  • Start Date: 27 January 2026.

  • Term: The successful candidate will secure a permanent, full‑time appointment.

  • Salary ranges: Lecturer – $92,567 to $110,166.

    Senior Lecturer – $113,413 to $133,701 (specific step within ranges commensurate with relevant skills and experience).
