Spectrum Foundation serves as the parent company for Spectrum Care and Homes of Choice, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of disabled individuals and their families in New Zealand.

Homes of Choice focuses on housing provision, while Spectrum Care oversees a range of care and support services.

Over the past 25 years, the Spectrum Foundation Group has grown and now employs approximately 1,300 people throughout the North Island.

Learning and Development is one of the shared services offered.

As an L&D Facilitator, you will champion growth, design engaging learning experiences, and inspire our team to reach new heights.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop content and deliver learning opportunities to both groups and individuals in virtual, face-to-face, and blended contexts.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing engaging content and facilitating learning opportunities across multiple delivery modes (virtual, face-to-face, blended); collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts; and using technology to reach remote learners.

  • Design epic learning quests and unleash creativity to foster skill development.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop content.

  • Deliver or facilitate learning opportunities to individuals and groups in a virtual, face-to-face, or blended context.

  • Leverage technology such as e-learning, learning management systems, content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360), webinars, and video conferencing.

  • Engage with learners on a face-to-face and one-to-one basis as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in education, human resources, health and/or human sciences.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of L&D trends and methodologies, including blended and micro-learning.

  • A proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programmes.

  • Ability to conduct a learning needs analysis.

  • Strong facilitation skills that engage audiences.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • A creative mindset with a passion for making learning fun.

  • Relevant sector experience and familiarity with NZQA and ITOs.
  • Experience as a workplace assessor is advantageous.

  • Experience with authoring/design software such as iSpring or Articulate.

  • Holding a class 1 driver’s licence.
